What’s Hindering Your Legacy?
From time to time, I like to take a break from my journey through the Word and publish posts of meaningful messages. This one comes from Michael Stephens, teaching pastor at New Tribe Church in Mount Juliet, Tennessee.
Pastor Michael uses Jesus’ Kingdom parables to illustrate the Kingdom as a lost coin, a hidden treasure, a priceless pearl, and a mustard seed that grows far beyond its small start. He also shares his family’s journey and became a part of planting New Tribe, and how his personal journey transformed from a place he visited to a community he became a part of. He points out Paul’s advice to Timothy about the faith he first discovered in his grandmother and mother, stressing that what we value today will shape what our children value. He reminds us that God sees worth and potential in things we might not notice and sees the potential treasure in them.
It’s an anointed message not only for us today but for future generations as well.
